Customer Update – 14th September 2021

The suspension of a next day service to DD, KY,PH and KA post-codes in Scotland will be continued as volumes and driver shortages continue to hamper operations causing severe delays in these areas.

We will continue to endeavour to provide next day services to all other areas of Scotland at this time, however these may be subject to delays and disruption and we would recommend that you manage your customers expectations in those areas.

There is also continuing disruption in the BN, ME and TN postcodes with delivery times being extended by 36-48hrs across the region.

The majority of the remaining network is showing better performance but still not at the levels that we would wish to provide to customers. We are seeing small pockets of disruption around the country and are taking steps to increase resource to cope with demand. Whilst this situation continues it would help where possible to avoid selecting AM or TIMED services.

Service to EX, PL, TA, TQ and TR will remain on a standard service for the foreseeable future.

The well reported issue of HGV driver shortages continues to be the single largest contributor to service disruption across the network and we are actively looking to develop alternate strategies to attract and develop new drivers which has seen some success in closing the resource gap. We will continue to pursue all options in order to return services to our expected high levels and thank you for your continued support and patience through this period.
