Customer Service Update 8 October 2021
We are pleased to inform our customers that normal service has now been resumed in the DD, KA, KY & PH post-codes in Scotland, thanks to the efforts of our team at the Falkirk depot.
However, there will no longer be a Next Day service option to the AB post-codes.
Also, delivery service to the BN, ME & TN post-codes has now improved to a normal level.
Our service into EX, PL, TA, TQ and TR will remain on a standard service for the foreseeable future.
We have seen our overall service quality improve recently throughout our whole network. This is in part due to having some success in driver recruitment and we have also seen consistency of supply in agency driver labour, albeit at extremely high hourly rates!
Every effort will be made to improve our service further and we thank our customers for their continued support and patience.
The two well reported issue of HGV driver shortages and fuel supply continues to be the largest contributors to service disruption across the logistic supply chain. Be assured we are actively looking to develop alternative strategies to attract and develop new drivers and we have also strengthened our ability to purchase and stock fuel.
Finally, whilst we can see a vast improvement unfortunately there could be regions where we still cannot guarantee same day agency cover if a driver should be absent for any reason especially when ADR cover is required so we still strongly recommend that you continue to manage your customers expectation in regards to pre-ordering in plenty of time to avoid any disruptions to their production or stock control.
